As of 4:00 p.m. yesterday afternoon, tourists visited Qipanshan scenic areas in the past three-day holiday reached to 570 thousand, up 52 percent over the same period last year, said office of the Qipanshan Tourism Development Zone. During this holiday season, Shenyang Forest Park--a new entertainment site launched by the Horticultural Expo. was favored a lot by tourists and the performance in the GMTC also amused visitors. Animals in Glacier Zoo brought a feast for visitors' eyes with their fascinating shows. The zoo welcomed more than ten thousand people on May 2, said the zookeeper. “五一”小长假，沈阳世博园、棋盘山风景区、关东影视城、冰川动物园等景区景点吸引了众多游客，春暖花开的良好天气也使市民出游热情高涨。昨日记者从沈阳棋盘山旅游开发区了解到，截至昨日16时，三天假期棋盘山旅游开发区各景区景点共接待游客达57万人次，比去年同期增长52%。 记者从棋盘山旅游开发区了解到，五一期间，世博园内新增添的游乐场——“沈阳森林乐园”颇受游人青睐，关东影视城内多种演艺活动也为游客们带去欢声笑语。冰川动物园里新引进的动物表演、杂技表演也让节日里的游人大饱眼福。园方表示，仅5月2日当天，动物园就接待游人达万余人次。
